Joy Ryan, NHA
Joy is a Warwick resident and a University of Rhode Island and New England Tech graduate. Joy just celebrated her 30th anniversary as a Scalabrini employee. Joy started as a consultant to clean up some accounting issues in 1988; rehired as a part time receivables/payables clerk and 3rd party biller in 1992; Full time 3rd party biller and Administrator Advisor in 2001; Assistant Administrator in 2003. In June 2007, she because Scalabrini Villa’s Administrator. Joy has worked in a Nursing Home her entire career of over 40 years. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read and play video games.
Finance Director
Carolyn Montecalvo
Carolyn is originally from Cranston but now lives in Coventry, RI. She graduated Bryant University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Her professional goals are to perform at her best level and contribute to the Villa’s great reputation. She is inspired by happy people with a good attitude in life. She is most proficient in listening to honest feedback. She has been part of our Villa family for the past 22 years. Carolyn has two married sons: David & Adriana of West Kingstown, RI and Stephen & Michelle of Orlando, FL. She has two grandchildren Maia and Christopher.
Director of Nursing
Julie Bamisile, RN, BSN
Julie has been a part of our Scalabrini team for the past 10 years as the Director of Nursing. She graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor’s Degree with the inspiration to care for people. She has set high professional goals for her career here at the Villa. She aims to be a better advocate for families, residents and staff. Her motivational and leadership skills are a great asset to the Villa.

Sandra Santos, RN
Sandra is a current resident of Coventry, RI. She Graduated CCRI in 2010 with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. She has been with our Villa family for over 15years. She started as a CAN and continued her education to become a nurse. Sandra hopes that with every resident she meets and takes care of that she makes a difference in their lives. On her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Matthew and friends. She is an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan.

Steve Morse, M.S
Steve has been a dedicated human service provider for over 10 years, with experience in community services where he supported families in various capacities. A recent graduate from Johnson & Wales University, Steve has earned his master's degree in Organizational Psychology and plans to continue his education at the doctoral level. Ever the people person, he is passionate about communication and serving others.
Human Resource
Mary Aiello, SHRM-CP
Mary has worked in long-term care for over ten years in various human resource capacities. Mary earned her SHRM-CP certificate from Southern New Hampshire University. When she is not spending time with her husband, two sons, and labradoodle, Mary, enjoys outdoor activities, creating stained glass creations, and cooking.

Heather Conover, BSW
Heather earned her bachelors degree in social work in 1999 from a small university in Pennsylvania She has worked in LTC setting since 2003.. Prior to moving to RI in 2002, she hailed from a small suburb in PA. When she is not coordinating services for our residents, she enjoys spending time with her two son's playing the role of soccer mom.
Activities Director
Jo Ann Mitchell
Jo Ann has been the Activities Director for the past 25 years. She is one of the few staff member from the original building. Originally from Smithfield and a URI graduate, Jo Ann holders a CNA license and Electronic Health Records certification. She plans on receiving her Med Tech Certification to be able to contribute more to the Villa. On her spare time, she enjoys traveling to Grand Manan, Canada where she owns a home.
